Dealing with Difficult Family Members during the Holidays

Let's face it, the Holiday Season can be exciting and stressful at the same time as you’re wrapping up the end of the year, shopping, and planning for family gatherings.

We all dream of these “perfect” families and when we realize our family is far different than the ones, we see on the Hallmark channel or the picture-perfect images we see posted on our friend’s Facebook page, we may immediately begin to question ourselves and the normalcy of our own family. Believe it or not, all families struggle with something and sometimes the Holidays can bring out the best and yes, even the worst in people. And with the onset of COVID and not being able to gather with friends and relatives, we can become a bit anxious as we prepare to come together again.

Laura Ramirez is a dear friend and recently partnered with us at Culture Cre8ion to become our Chief Wellness Officer. Laura comes with a wealth of knowledge and experiences as she has worked in various capacities in education, she is also a licensed counselor and therapist, but most importantly Laura is passionate about helping and serving people as she helps them create and live their best life NOW.

During one of our planning sessions, Laura and I thought it would be great to host a webinar on dealing with difficult family members during the Holidays. We both share an interest in helping families and we thought this would be a great way to help families learn to communicate and set boundaries as we strengthen our relationships not only with our relatives, but in other areas of our lives as well

.

If you missed this amazing discussion, no worries- we recorded it, and it is now available for you to listen in and share with others. Laura and I discuss five strategies to deal with difficult family members this Holiday Season. We hope you enjoy!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
